One of the most exciting parts of our work is finding large trees, (often dead or starting to rot), cutting them down, and opening them up with our sawmill. The 5 foot ripping chain is powered by a 20-HP Briggs & Stratton motor (yes, just like the lawn mower) and is physically pushed through the log.
